Awadh Vigyan Bharati ("Awadh Vigyan Bharati", "we") runs the website vibhaawadh.org. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we look after it.
1. Information you give us
We only collect personal information when you choose to fill in one of our forms:
- Life Membership form — name, date of birth, contact details (mobile, email, addresses), qualification, profession, district, photograph, signature, and payment details (UTR / transaction reference, payment date and payment screenshot).
- Article submission form — name, contact details, institution, your article file and, if you choose, your photograph.
- Support VIBHA (contribution) form — name, contact details, amount, payment details and an optional message.
- Contact form — name, contact details and your message.
We do not collect card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords. Payments are made directly through your own bank or UPI app; we only receive the reference details you type in.
2. How we use it
- To process your membership or contribution and verify your payment, and to review articles submitted for the magazine.
- To reply to your messages and send you a confirmation email.
- To contact you about Vigyan Bharati activities you have signed up for.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for advertising or marketing.
3. Where it is stored
Form submissions are stored securely in a Google Sheet and Google Drive folder owned by Awadh Vigyan Bharati, and an email notification is sent to the prant office. Access is limited to the office bearers who process memberships, subscriptions and contributions. These services are provided by Google and are covered by Google's own security and privacy terms.
4. Information collected automatically
The website does not use advertising, analytics trackers or tracking cookies. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running.
5. Third-party content
Some pages show or link to content from other services, such as YouTube videos, Google Fonts and the Vigyan Bharati national website. When you open that content, those services may collect information under their own privacy policies.
6. Children
Our website shares information about programmes such as Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan for school students, but our forms are meant to be filled in by adults. Registration for VVM itself happens on the official VVM website, not through our forms.
7. How long we keep it
We keep membership records for as long as the membership remains active, as life members are part of the organisation's records. Other submissions are kept only as long as needed for the purpose they were given, and for any record-keeping required by law.
8. Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information you have given us by writing to the email address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
