Prof. Mahan Mj (Swami Vidyanathananda), a monk of the Ramakrishna Order, is a professor of mathematics at TIFR, Mumbai. He proved the existence of Cannon–Thurston maps for Kleinian groups, settling a central question in hyperbolic geometry.
